Jacobus (Kobie) Kloppers (born 1937 in Krugersdorp, South Africa) is a Canadian musicologist, composer and organist.  His doctoral research on the interpretation of Bach’s organ music in 1966 introduced a new understanding of the various aspects of Bach’s music, including the use of rhetoric.  He has composed many notable works, especially for organ, and has been the subject of substantial musicology and compositional scholarship.
